Consumer Messaging Disclosure
Last Updated: August 27, 2026
Please note: Message & Data Rates May Apply
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
This Consumer Messaging Disclosure ("Disclosure") describes how text messaging programs operated through the Tells.co platform work, your rights as a message recipient, and how to stop receiving messages. Tells, doing business as Tells.co ("Tells"), provides the technical messaging platform used by businesses ("Senders") to send text messages. With the single exception of the Tells-operated program described in Section 2 of this Disclosure, Tells is not the sender of any message and does not control message content, frequency, or recipient lists.
Read this Disclosure in two parts. Section 1 covers customer programs, which are every message sent by a business using the Tells platform: that business is the Sender and is responsible for the message and for your consent. Section 2 covers the one Tells-operated program, in which Tells.co is itself the sender, and which you can only be enrolled in by submitting the opt-in form on the Tells website.
1. About Messages You Receive
Text messages sent through the Tells platform are originated by the Sender identified in the message, not by Tells. The Sender is responsible for:
- The content of the message;
- Obtaining your consent to receive messages;
- The frequency at which messages are sent; and
- Compliance with all applicable laws, including the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), the Telemarketing Sales Rule (TSR), state telemarketing and consumer protection laws, and CTIA Messaging Principles and Best Practices.
If you have questions about a specific message you received, you should contact the Sender directly.
2. Tells-operated RCS Demo & Product Updates program
Tells operates exactly one messaging program of its own. For this program, and only this program, Tells.co is the sender. Everything in Section 1 continues to apply, unchanged, to every customer program on the platform.
- Program identifier:
tells_rcs_demo_product_updates - Consent version:
tells-rcs-optin-2026-08-27-v2 - Sender: Tells, doing business as Tells.co
- How you join: only by checking the consent box and submitting the opt-in form at tells.co/solutions/rcs-messaging. Tells does not add anyone to this program any other way, and does not buy, rent, or import lists into it.
Purpose. Messages in this program cover RCS demos you requested, product information, and follow-up you asked for. Nothing else is sent under this consent.
What you agree to. By opting in you agree to receive recurring automated SMS and RCS messages from Tells.co at the mobile number you provide. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
How to stop, and how to get help. Reply STOP to any message in this program to opt out at any time, free of charge. The keywords in Section 5 all work here too. Reply HELP for help, or contact Tells using the details below.
Delivery. Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages, including messages in this program.
Your information. The name, company, work email, and mobile number you submit, together with the exact wording of the consent you agreed to, its version, and the time you agreed, are handled in accordance with the Tells Privacy Policy. Your use of the Tells website is governed by the Website Terms of Use.
Program contact. Tells, 1712 Pioneer Avenue, Suite 2559, Cheyenne, WY 82001. Email hello@tells.co, phone +1 (833) 900-3339.
3. How to Opt Out (STOP)
You may opt out of receiving messages from any Tells-powered messaging program at any time, free of charge, by replying with any of the following keywords to the message you received or to short code 67203:
- STOP
- QUIT
- END
- CANCEL
- UNSUBSCRIBE
- REVOKE
- OPT OUT
After you send an opt-out keyword, you will receive a final confirmation message acknowledging your opt-out, and you will not receive further messages from that program. If you wish to opt out of messages from multiple programs, you may need to opt out of each program separately.
4. How to Get Help (HELP)
For assistance, reply HELP to the message you received or to short code 67203. You will receive a response containing program contact information. You may also contact Tells at hello@tells.co or +1 (833) 900-3339, and Tells will direct you to the appropriate Sender for substantive questions about a particular program.
5. Active Keywords
The following keywords are recognized by the Tells platform across all programs:
- STOP, QUIT, END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, OPT OUT, REVOKE - opt out of messages
- HELP - receive program contact information
Individual programs may recognize additional keywords. The Sender is responsible for disclosing any program-specific keywords.
6. Message and Data Rates
Message and data rates may apply to messages you send or receive. Message frequency varies by program. Check your wireless plan for details. Tells does not charge you for receiving or sending messages; any charges are imposed by your wireless carrier.
7. Supported Carriers
The Tells platform supports messaging on the following wireless carriers, among others:
- AT&T
- T-Mobile
- Verizon Wireless
- U.S. Cellular
- Boost Mobile
- Cricket Wireless
- Metro by T-Mobile
- Other participating carriers
Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
8. Message Delivery
Neither Tells nor any wireless carrier guarantees that messages will be delivered, delivered on time, or delivered to any particular device. Message delivery depends on factors outside Tells' control, including carrier networks, device settings, and network conditions.
9. Privacy
Information collected in connection with messages sent through the Tells platform is handled in accordance with the Tells Privacy Policy, available at https://tells.co/privacy, and the privacy policy of the Sender. Senders are responsible for disclosing their own data collection, use, and sharing practices. If you have questions about how a particular Sender uses your information, contact that Sender directly.
10. Reporting Concerns
If you believe you are receiving messages without your consent, in violation of an opt-out request, or otherwise in violation of law:
- Reply STOP to the message to immediately opt out;
- Contact the Sender directly to request investigation; and
- Contact Tells at hello@tells.co to report the concern.
Tells investigates reports of unauthorized messaging and may suspend Senders who violate Tells' acceptable use policies or applicable law.
11. No Contractual Relationship
This Disclosure is provided for informational purposes and to satisfy applicable carrier and CTIA disclosure requirements. It does not create a contract between you and Tells. Your use of the Tells.co website is governed by the Website Terms of Use, available at https://tells.co/terms.
12. Changes to This Disclosure
Tells may update this Disclosure from time to time. The most current version will always be posted at https://tells.co. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this Disclosure indicates when it was last revised.
